This Wednesday, São Paulo and Botafogo will face each other at Maracanã Stadium in Rio de Janeiro, each one with an eye for the leadership of the 2007 Brazilian Championship. Botafogo will play on the offensive, while São Paulo probably will try to have a more tight defense, as Botafogo playing on Maracanã has the home field advantage.
I’m guessing that will be a hard game for both. Botafogo is having a great performance and is with a good campaign so far in the tournament, and will have Dodo in the field, recently free of charges regarding doping.
Still, Botafogo will face a defense that took only nine goals so far in the tournament: São Paulo’s. Something appropriate, as São Paulo will face the best attack in the tournament: Botafogo’s.
As São Paulo will not have Hugo and Souza, each out of the game due to their third yellow card, and being in Maracanã, Muricy Ramalho’s team will play a bit less in the offense, but they must not take chances and try to make good attacks.
It will be a great game, between the two best teams so far, and the best one of them will have the leadership of the Brazilian Championship on its hands.
